Join Huddersfield Choral Society for The Dream of Gerontius, reckoned by many to be the Great English Oratorio. The text, by John Henry Newman, is a poetic meditation on the last moments of the Everyman figure, Gerontius, and his soul’s subsequent journey.

The choir will be accompanied by the Orchestra of Opera North, and will be conducted by Martyn Brabbins. This performance is being recorded live for the Hyperion label.
