Black Dyke Brass Festival 2025 Gala Concert The world-famous Black Dyke Band returns for a Gala concert and will perform an extended first half with the second half featuring The Yorkshire Youth Band, supported by Geneva Instruments, and several community bands from around the UK.

With music for everyone including Berlioz Carnival Romain, Nightingale Dances, Peter Graham’s Call of the Cossacks, and musicians from Armthorpe Elmfield, Delph, Cockermouth, Cleobury Mortimer and Murley Silver Bands.

The massed Bands are performing the march Them Basses, Frolic for Trombones, Praise my Soul, and the finale from Saint Saens’ Organ Symphony.

Film Music: From Mahler to Williams Garry Walker – conductor

May the Force be with the Orchestra of Opera North as it embarks on a journey through space, time, and the realms of witchcraft. Feel the commanding brass of the Star Wars Imperial March, the haunting strings from Psycho, and the enchanting celeste theme from Harry Potter send tingles down your spine. Conductor Garry Walker will guide us through the programme, unravelling each piece's influences and connections within film music history.
